Danza Azteca

Other groups that participate in the procession for the Virgin of Guadalupe each year are the Danzantes Aztecas Guerreros (Aztec warriors). Their colorful garb harkens back to the Aztecs and is associated with the potent Mexican patriotism and symbolism of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Their outfits are striking and often have long colorful feathers and frequently draw from Aztec motifs and mythologies.
