SLAB Parade
SLABs are commonly older-modeled American sedans enhanced by various types of body and interior modifications. Since the 1980s, this Houston-identified artistic tradition has grown and spread throughout the U.S. exponentially, due in part to its inextricable relationship to hip-hop culture. The SLAB parade featured some 60 or so SLAB vehicles and several customized bicycles crafted by youth participants working with a local non-profit, Workshop Houston.
