Houston's Environmental Past
This exhibit reveals Houston's environmental past. Floodplain/watershed management, wilderness recreation, green space protection, and urban planning are the four themes of environmental action displayed in the exhibit. These themes represent only a small portion of the work of Houston activists as preserved in the environmental collections held by Special Collections in the University of Houston Libraries. These collections are rich with the history of Houston's infrastructure and business development.
