The Court

Taking place at halftime of the football game, the crowning of the Homecoming Queen has always been a central part of the celebration. From the presentation of the first crown to Mary Ray Curry in 1946, to the touchstone victory of the school's first African-American Homecoming Queen Lynn Eusan in 1968, and through the emphasis on academic and service criteria that accompany the award today, the recognition of the Homecoming Queen and court has evolved along with the University itself over the years.
