The Capitol Report
Hosted primarily by Margaret Ford, Doris Ester-Childress, and Patricia Gras, The Capitol Report first aired in 1991, and syndicated on PBS stations across Texas. The show focuses on Texas legislative activity and features interviews with legislators, as well as civic, political, and business leaders from Texas and beyond. Among the guests are many recognizable faces, from Sylvester Turner and Kathy Whitmire, to Henry Cuellar and John Culberson. The Capitol Report aired weekly and addressed a wide range of statewide and nationwide news, including education and public schools, the prison system, the death penalty, mental health resources, the Clean Air Act, and issues facing rural communities.
