Weeknight Edition Work Tapes
Weeknight Edition features hosts Ernie Manouse and Doris Childress, and often includes local reporting by Patricia Gras. Each Weeknight Edition work tape that is housed in UH Special Collections contains numerous clips and unedited segments from the regional Emmy award-winning show, which aired every night during the week. The content of these tapes varies widely from location shooting in places as near as Saint Arnold Brewing Co. and as far as Beijing, China, to profiles of artists such as Robert Rauschenberg and Fernando A. La Rosa, to local segments on the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and other city attractions, to interviews with national figures like George H. W. Bush and local figures like Hugo Ortega. Each work tape contains multiple segments, most of which were slated for use on Weeknight Edition.
